This text will provide a useful reference and guild to those who
are interested in this important approach to microbial ecology.
This book aims to provide the basis for future investigations which
will in turn result in a practical biologic approach to the control
and prevention of some serious infectious diseases.
This unique reference provides concise, single-source coverage of
the clinical, research, and therapeutic aspects of dermatological
problems associated with bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
Introduces many novel antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral
agents
Highlighting the molecular biology as well as risk - benefit ratios
of new diagnostic and treatment modalities, Cutaneous Infection and
Therapy
evaluates the role of antimicrobial soaps in personal hygiene and
research on preoperative skin preparation and infection rates
discusses reasons for the reduced risk of infection using occlusive
wound dressings
explains the epidemiology, presentation, pathophysiology, and
treatment of athlete's foot and fungal diseases of the scalp
presents new oral antifungals for the treatment of onychomycosis
examines the advantages and disadvantages of preparations to treat
superficial fungal infections
addresses oral candidiasis in HIV infection and the resistance to
antifungal therapy in AIDS patients
reviews the patterns of candidiasis in children and current
approaches to antifungal therapy
covers the epidemiology, implications, and management of herpes in
pregnant women and newborns
and much more
The future is of the mobile phones. Everyone wants the mobile phone
to do everything for them. People now don't want desktops or
laptops they want their mobile cell phones to be capable of doing
everything they can do over the computers. We have conceived a
similar idea. The main concept is that in future universities must
all be networked over mobile phones. All notices, alerts messages,
fines, assignments, results, grades, everything be done over the
mobile communication. So for that we think as a starting point we
can convert one of our local applications into a mobile application
and allow students to access it on their mobiles. Not only will
this save time, but will also be a first step into the direction of
getting the whole university into a new dimension of mobile enabled
environment. So we have decided to work ( i.e. develop, integrate
and mobilize) on an application that will hold students record and
result (e.g. RADIX like application) as our project, and to turn it
into a mobile application, so that students get to register, view
their grades, credit hours and get notification alerts all on their
mobile phones.

OFDM has been an attractive choice for digital modulation in the
recent years due to its robustness to channel fading and
invulnerability to intersymbol interference. However, to achieve an
optimal performance the corresponding channel estimation scheme
need to be accurate. This book focuses on the use of guard
intervals between successive OFDM symbols for channel estimation. A
hybrid of blind and semi-blind estimation techniques is proposed to
create an energy efficient scheme that can maintain accurate
channel estimation as well as a low transmission BER. Multipath
fading channel are considered for performance evaluation. The
proposed hybrid scheme is tested in static as well as time varying
channel environments using computer simulations. Simulation results
show that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing schemes on
the basis of BER performance for the same SNR.
The studies to find relationship between training and
organizational commitment are in its preliminary stages. However in
Western countries there have been a number of studies on training
and organizational commitment, very little work has been done in
respect of the employees in Islamic banking industry of Pakistan.
This research explores the relationship between six training
variables (Perceived availability of training, Motivation to learn,
Perceived benefits of training, Perceived supervisor support for
training, Perceived Coworker support and perceived transfer of
training) and several elements of organizational commitment
(affective commitment, continuance commitment, normative
commitment). Descriptive Statistics, Pearson Correlation and
Multiple Regression are used to examine questionnaire's data from
317 employees of 11 Islamic banks operating in Pakistani Islamic
banking industry. The perceived availability of training,
motivation to learn, perceived supervisor support for training,
coworker support were all have a significant positive impact over
affective and normative organizational commitment.
